When you generate the field - you'd need to annotate with some kind of markup - which then js could work with for validating in the browser.
A simple but crude approach would be to use the class of the element: <input ...class="displayClass numeric-30" Then with js - obtain a collection of all classes starting with numeric and parse it's full name for the extra data.
