I would need to change the username field of sfDoctrineGuardPlugin into email, because my site will not need usernames, but unique emails.
I tried to just change the name and type of the username field, but when I rebuild all I get this error: Unknown record property / related component "username" on "sfGuardUser" So I suppose I can't change the username field. My workaround would be using the username as an email (and also adding an email:true validation to the field). Is this approach correct enough?
