I have used development sf1.3 version for a new app. But it was only
_evolution_. Symfony 2 is _revolution_ - and nothing is clear. I'm not
sure if there was any decision about controller aproach
http://symfony-reloaded.org/rfc/controllers . There are other question
marks.

It might be out in late 2010.

Symfony 2 isn't documented yet. You can read only about basic concepts.

And you want to change your app to catch these changes?

I've got a sf2 git repo here and git tag shows me _nothing_. It's not
even in alpha stage.

IMHO developing a large app with actual Symfony 2 is a suicide mission.

Ask Fabien Potencier he is the lead S2 developer and he knows best.
