Just had the idea.. do I need to add a Request Class with the name of my
Model too?

I just tested exactly the same like in the book:
http://symfony.com/doc/2.0/book/validation.html (using PR10)

1. created the Author in Application\UserBundle\Author.php
2. added it to the Application\UserBundle\Resources\config\validation.yml
3. created an instance in the controller and validated it - but $errorList
stays empty..

I also tried using backward slashes in the validation.yml and cleared the
cache a hundred times (also apc_clear_cache() from the browser)

So I think there must be a problem with the usage of the validation itself
and doesn't have anything todo with the FOS from my first thougth..

Thanks,
Conrad
