I agree with you, but still a lot of people use XAMP, LAMP, WAMP, and other 
environments when they are learning and testing stuff, so there should exist 
a basic installation guide to install and create a symfony 2.x project on 
XAMP for example because the way to install it on similar projects like 
WAMP, LAMP, ... is basically the same.

But what does need to be focused is the comparison between the security 
features that users must learn when to use a test project and a live 
project, so my opinion is that users should be able to deploy a XAMP, LAMP, 
WAMP, or LIVE project and know the differences on the settings they need to 
change.

Simple tutorial should cover these aspects and WILL be a huge help for 
everyone who is starting to learn Symphony.
