I read through this and here are my comments: * try to create the new Latexprinter (or regular printer) as a new class, implement the functionality that you describe. Then let's get this in sympy. Then if other people like it too, let's make it the default. If not, let's at least make it very easy to use, and/or user rc file (there is some issue for that), where each user would define his own default printing in isympy. * as to other things, try to create the code that implements that, we'll figure it out how to have that in sympy either in parallel with our current implementation, or how to merge it (preferably). * at the moment I don't have time to do the coding myself, but it is very needed. I will need some very good notation for multidimensional (2D, 3D) partial differential equations for my research.
