Comment #6 on issue 1320 by Vinzent.Steinberg: simplify does not simplify commutted diffs http://code.google.com/p/sympy/issues/detail?id=1320
See for instance http://git.sympy.org/?p=sympy.git;f=sympy/simplify/tests/test_simplify.py;hb=HEAD A test is just a function beginning with test_* inside a file in a tests directory. Usually you just use asserts. If an exception occurs, it gets caught by the test runner (sympy/bin/test). In this case it would just be something like assert simplify(g(x).diff(x)*f(x).diff(x)-f(x).diff(x)*g(x).diff(x)) == 0 -- You received this message because you are listed in the owner or CC fields of this issue, or because you starred this issue.
