Updates: Status: Started Comment #3 on issue 1664 by ondrej.certik: Matrix([ [1, 2, 3], [4, 5, 6], [7, 8, 9] ]).eigenvects() fails http://code.google.com/p/sympy/issues/detail?id=1664
Thanks, this is in! Now sympy produces: In [1]: from sympy import * In [2]: M = Matrix([ [1, 2, 3], [4, 5, 6], [7, 8, 9] ]) In [3]: print M.eigenvals() {15/2 + 3*33**(1/2)/2: 1, 0: 1, 15/2 - 3*33**(1/2)/2: 1} In [4]: print M.eigenvects() [(15/2 + 3*33**(1/2)/2, 1, []), (0, 1, [[ 1] [-2] [ 1]]), (15/2 - 3*33**(1/2)/2, 1, [])] so it doesn't seem to find any eigenvectors either. -- You received this message because you are listed in the owner or CC fields of this issue, or because you starred this issue.
