#7: As I recall, Sphinx uses relative sections, so if we use ==== in docstrings then we have to modify rst files in which particular docstrings are imported, e.g. use double ====. Or maybe there is something special about docstrings in Sphinx that I'm missing.
#8: It seems that I was confused about inter-word dashes, so I will have to change those back (to single dash).
