I actually made a list of things we can do once we drop Python 2.4 in that second mailing list link above. This wasn't one of the items, though.

Personally, I can't wait to use with statements, though not ever having test failures in Python 2.4 because someone forgot to import any/all from sympy.utilities.iterables again will be nice too. Actually, the with statement should be useful to the polys too. Imagine wrapping the options manager around a with statement.
