Aaron, look at: http://docs.python.org/distutils/builtdist.html#cross-compiling-on-windows
It's possible to cross-compile for both 32bit and 64bit (and the default names there are good, "win32" and "win-amd64"). The issue linked above basically says it's impossible to have a "unified" installer, so we'll just have to provide both installers.
