The pull request is now in, and we also reported some bugs upstream (which got fixed btw, including the stuff Aaron noted in comment #35), so we should wait a day or so for the new nightly and then we can keep working on this. I'll try to address the doctest failures next.

Aaron, do you think it would be a good idea to make a new label for this, like you did for Python3? I prefer to open more issues, rather than clutter this one. I'd also appreciate if you could add me as auto-cc, like for Python3. (actually, that's a cool feature, I think more developers should use it :))
