I can reproduce this on my system (see below) using "bin/test" with no
arguments. However it takes at least five minutes to trigger the problem,
and pudb doesn't seem to like being called in a background thread either,
so I don't really see what to do without investing excessive amounts of
time.

Python 2.7.2+
