I'm curious how csesimp() actually simplifies the expression. Are things just canceling in intermediate steps? Or does cse() do some simplification?

It seems like a true csesimp() would actually call simplify() on e[0] and [i[1] for i in r]. It is a clever way of getting around some of the limitations in simplify(), though.
