New issue 3810 by hacm...@gmail.com: Wrong limit of expression equivalent
to zeta(2*k)
http://code.google.com/p/sympy/issues/detail?id=3810
According to
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Riemann_zeta_function#Specific_values
zeta(2*k) == (-1)**(k+1)*bernoulli(2*k) *(2* pi)**(2*k)/(2 * factorial(2*k))
and
limit(zeta(k), k, oo) == 1
which SymPy computes correctly. However, it gives 0 for the following
limit, which should be equivalent to the limit of the zeta function (it
should be 1)
limit((-1)**(k+1)*bernoulli(2*k) *(2* pi)**(2*k)/(2 * factorial(2*k)), k,
oo)
SymPy does give 1 when evaluating for large values of k:
((-1)**(k+1)*bernoulli(2*k) *(2* pi)**(2*k)/(2 * factorial(2*k))).subs({k:
10000}).evalf()
