New issue 3827 by ondrej.c...@gmail.com: integrate(sqrt(x**2/((y - x)*(y +
x))), x) showing some infinities
http://code.google.com/p/sympy/issues/detail?id=3827
In [1]: integrate(sqrt(x**2/((y - x)*(y + x))), x)
Out[1]:
⎧ 3/2
⎪ ∞⋅ⅈ⋅x for y = -x
⎪
⎪ 3/2
⎪ ∞⋅x for y = x
⎪
⎪ ____ ___________
⎨ 2 ╱ 2 ╱ 1
⎪ y ⋅╲╱ x ⋅ ╱ ─────────
⎪ ____ ___________ ╱ 2 2
⎪ ╱ 2 ╱ 1 ╲╱ - x + y
⎪x⋅╲╱ x ⋅ ╱ ───────── - ─────────────────────────── otherwise
⎪ ╱ 2 2 x
⎪ ╲╱ - x + y
⎩
The y=+/- x cases show infinity, which I think is not what we want.
