Regarding comment 6, args_cnc splits the args up for you.
>>> from sympy.abc import *
>>> from sympy import *
>>> var('n,m', commutative=False)
(n, m)
>>> (3*x*(y+1)*n*(n*m+3)).args_cnc()
[set([1 + y, x, 3]), [n, 3 + n*m]]
And Ronan is probably right. Why do you want to know if it is 'in' the
expr. What are you going to do next? There is .coeff,
extract-multiplicatively, etc that might be the thing to use.
