Hi Wolter,
I suppose there are a few questions that need to be answered to determine 
if the physics/mechanics module would suit your needs. My first question: 
are the systems you are going to study statically determinate (can the 
reaction forces be solved for algebraically)? If the answer is no, we might 
have to do some additional work to make this suitable, but I won't say it's 
impossible.
