The docs theme is 'classic' https://github.com/sympy/sympy/blob/aa96b23bb98f00542101c08d8ea02ef83949310b/doc/src/conf.py#L126. This used to be the default theme for Sphinx, and I believe it is still the same theme used by the CPython docs. We have some CSS modifications to it, https://github.com/sympy/sympy/blob/master/doc/src/_static/default.css_t, which are mostly just to change the colors.
