If there are symengine mentors, they can list the project. I don't get the sense that symengine is currently a sympy community priority. Most of the symengine contributors have stepped back from sympy contributions for some years now.
Anyone can open discussions and pull requests regarding symengine to try to make it a priority. It just hasn't happened in some time.
