Hi,

Excellent work lukas! I tried visualsynapse with latest synasnap and _nothing_ seems to be broken, internal changes do not seem to affect behaviour in any way! This being on win32. I will try to get visualsynapse compatible with platforms that synapse now supports, for the clients this should be easy going. For the servers (especially http), i would like to ask if anyone has experience with standard in/out handling, and/or if maybe someone knows how to run php as module (=not in cgi mode).

regards,

Rene

This new synasnap introducing lot of internal changes!

- all name rosolving implementation code was moved out from blcksock to synsock. Synsock is modular system for various socket platforms, and name resolvinf code depending on platforms too.

- Synsock have new module ssfpc.pas. This module was used for unix based targets by FreePascal.

- lot of changes for remowing Libc dependency of unix based targets for FreePascal. I was made lot of chages for be independent on 32bit pointers too.

- see for other small changes in detailed changelog.

All this changes allows to use Synapse for Unix based targets by FreePascal, including non-intel platforms and including 64-bit platforms!

Is reported success with using of Synapse on MacOSX... (httpsend and HTTP server) ;-)

My work is not still fully finished, Ifound lot of bugs in current freepascal release, etc. But I made lot of internal changes what opening Synapse to new worlds and modified code must be widely tested.
