I'm using FTPSend
to download files from a remote FTP server. The server on the other end is my
own, and it's GlobalScape Secure FTP Server 2.0.7. There is no kind of
firewalls between the client and the server.
The problem I have
is that once in a while (maybe every 20'th try) FTPSend fails to send the
PORT-command to the remote server, the reply it receives is: "500 Illegal PORT
Command". But most of the times everything works just fine. I've been trying
other ftp client software, and all of them work 100% of the
time.
If I enable
"Passive" mode, everything also seem to work 100% of the time - I guess it's not
that strange, because then the PORT-command won't be sent at all :) When I
notices this I also upgraded to the latest synapse release, but it's the same in
that release as well.
To me it seems
like Synapse has a bug somewhere in the FTP-commands that is sent to the remote
server. Does anyone have any ideas? Or has anyone heard of similar problems like
this before?
Best
regards,
Peter Olsson
