If I read RFC822's syntax portion correctly, the "reply-to"-header 
should contain "address" (whereas many other similar fields like "from" 
and "sender" are supposed to contain "mailbox").

Of course, the latter part of the RFC specifies that according to 
syntax, "address" can be a "mailbox", which - on the other hand - is 
either "addr spec" (the address) *or* "phrase route-addr" (the whole 
mishmash containing name etc.)

Ok... RFC822 is obsoleted by RFC2822, but as far as I can tell, not much 
has changed on this (except that the "phrase route-addr" is now 
something called "name-addr", but the syntax hasn't notably changed), 
many things are now more strict than before.

Oh, you might be wondering why I wrote this message... no particular 
reason, just spending time at the office after everyone else has gone 
away :)
