im sorry for being slow on this one but i just cant understand, it seems D2009 
does much more than i expect it to do, i simply put the same
code that worked under D2007 and trying to understand what to do in order to 
make it work under D2009. how exactly did i leave D2009 to
do the conversion in the code i posted here? what should be done instead?
