i will start by saying that because i dont have the source of iconv.dll (where
is it? can it be downloaded?) your suggestion may
be right. i must add that the "2 bytes/characters cut" case is when the content
is in pure english.
assuming you are correct, wont it be logic for it to check first if there are
BOM characters before removing them?
