Glen, I agree with what you are saying, but the incubator PMC uses the message traffic as a measure of activity. I argued our position but it was just me and I don't think I convinced them.
Personally I've been travelling so much its been hard to manage the IRC chats, so I'm happier having some stuff handled offline.
