Hi Folks,

I did a presentation on Axis2 to the Toronto JUG and also took the
oppurtunity to do a 5 min introduction on Synapse.

They seem to like the idea of using synapse to Transform their legacy soap
or xml based applications into fully fledged web services.
There were a few questions/interest on using synapse as a geatway and the
ability to manage/map virtual endpoints to real endpoints inside the
enterprise domain.
People also liked the idea about turning their enterprise network into a
"Enterprise Service Bus" and they had a few questions on that.

Most of the points I mentioned were stolen from Pauls book on "Marketing
Synapse 101" :) , but it got the crowd very interested.

Here are some stats.
Out of about 85 there was atleast 20 people who have used Axis in production
systems. Several were interested in migrating to Axis2.
There were 5 Axis2 users as opposed to 2 XFire users :)
Most of the Axis2 dev was in R&D that may or may not make into production,
but people are trying it out.

Many asked about interop event participation. Is there a way to say
something about the axis2 website ?
TCPMon was a hit, people asked several questions about debugging :)

Regards,

Rajith
