The Sandesha2 release will be ready only next week, and Rampart release
is going to take even longer. From a testing point of view, the current
snapshot code of Rampart does work well with Synapse and is tested, but
not the Sandesha2 code (still expecting the Maven2 artifacts). So from
an ASF point of view, we would not be able to release Synapse 1.0 in
time for ApacheCon EU. However, I am hoping to create a stable RC with
updated documentation and tested and updated samples by end of this
week. I am afraid this is the best we could do under the circumstances..
do you have any other suggestions?

I don't think it actually helps us either because as far as I know you
can't use older versions of Rampart and Sandesha (e.g. 1.1) with Axis2
1.2 and therefore Synapse is pretty dependent on Rampart and Sandesha2
1.2.
