Steve

Firstly, welcome to the community and thanks for the positive feedback about
the project.

One reason I asked members to self-nominate for the PMC was because there is
an expectation that people will only nominate themselves if they intend to
continue to contribute to the project. This is actually the approach that
the incubator is looking at right now for graduated projects too.

Rajith provided a very useful mediator that helps convert between SwA and
MTOM to Synapse. In addition Rajith has presented on Synapse, published an
article about it on developerWorks, and has done some useful prototyping
linking Synapse to QPid, which I hope will become part of the project when
his efforts on Qpid calm down. As far as I know, the situation is exactly
the opposite that you describe - his work on Qpid is sponsored by his
company but his work on Axis2 and Synapse has been completely done in his
own spare time.
