The ckarlof plan and mmayo amendments (https://mail.mozilla.org/pipermail/sync-dev/2014-January/000638.html) don't *prevent* existing Sync users from creating a FxA. We're proposing that we don't encourage them to transition in Fx29 ("Let 'em be"). Existing Sync users with 2+ devices include our wizards and enthusiasts. We shouldn't rush them to transition when: 1) That transition doesn't currently offer a significantly different or better value prop from what they're using now 2) We're building that transition experience under an aggressive schedule. Aggressive schedule means elevated risk for bugs and rough UX. Yes, we have to transition them eventually, but no reason to rush it. Let's tackle it in Fx30+. -chris > I suspect that until we are looking at mocks of what that these scenarios > look like to users we're going to have a hard time making sense of things. > > After that, I think we need to plow through the flows in their entirety. > Disagree if you must, but maybe save it until we're in the same room. :) > > Talk to you all (a lot) tomorrow! > CW > > > On 1/7/14 2:59 PM, Robert Lord wrote: >> Tauni, >> >> I wholly agree we need closure wrt to scope (indeed we needed it last >> Friday), however PMs feel that we must await Prod plan approval by BE given >> his recent unexpected comments. >> >> Nevertheless let's keep this mtg (Chad?
