Status update at end of day: Thanks to a great effort by Mark and Tim (with review help from rnewman), we managed to land most of the desktop UI bugs that we are tracking (bugs 957426, 957460, 959990, 963384, 964929) on fx-team, as well as the key "back-end" bug that enables syncing (bug 959222). Unfortunately, tree closures tonight have meant that we haven't yet landed the other two UI bugs (bug 958927 and bug 965016), and we were not able to ensure fx-team was merged to m-c before tomorrow's nightly.
The two bugs we were not able to land are important because they make string changes, but they do not significantly impact basic testing of Sync, so fx-team builds from tonight are useful for testing, and contain fixes for all of the bugs mentioned above: http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/tinderbox-builds/fx-team-macosx64/1390969090/ http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/tinderbox-builds/fx-team-linux64/1390969090/ http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/tinderbox-builds/fx-team-win32/1390969090/ Testing of these builds, particularly for the specific UI changes mentioned above, would be most useful. Tomorrow's focus will be on resolving the remaining UI bugs and tackling the other blockers of bug 964922, as well as reviewing landed strings with UX prior to the Aurora uplift.
