We put in some telemetry probes to measure master password usage in Nightly.
Below are the results in for Fx34.

Roughly 2% of general users have a master password enabled:

Roughly 5% of sync users have a master password enabled:
http://telemetry.mozilla.org/#filter=nightly%2F34%2FWEAVE_CONFIGURED_MASTER_PASSWORD&aggregates=multiselect-all!Submissions&evoOver=Builds&locked=true&sanitize=true&renderhistogram=Graph

Those numbers seem low.

Yeah. Although that's just for Nightly 34, where one would expect more technically-advanced users. The numbers drop off across the channels (although, curiously, the MP+Sync case is fairly constant).

               MP (all) MP (sync)
 ------------+----------+-----------
  Nightly 35 | 1.9% | 5.7%
  Aurora 34 | 1.6% | 5.5%
  Beta 33 | 0.7% | 5.4%
