Hi all, John and I have reviewed the sync experience on the upcoming iOS version of Firefox and we feel that now is the time to move where in the process users “Choose what to sync”.
In Android, the choice occurs instantly, because it’s an entirely native Android experience. On desktop, it happens natively after the email is verified (and is somewhat jarring and unexpected). We feel that post-verification is awkward, and would be particularly awkward on iOS as none of the email clients will open the verification link in Firefox (Mail to Safari, Inbox to Chrome). We are working on some solutions, but they will likely require cooperation between services and client teams. Stay tuned. Ryan & John UX, Cloud Services Mozilla UX
