As far as I can see, this work is tracked in Bug 1022319: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1022319
The current status seems to be "waiting for someone who cares to do the work". Seamonkey is entirely supported by the community, so someone needs to step up and do it.
