Just tried a 'cold start' of Firefox 39 following a reboot of the laptop.
1. Checked clusterURL, blank as expected with no sync running
2. Entered self-hosted server URL as used on the other devices
3. Signed-in to Sync
4. Watching about:config in a tab, clusterURL automatically changed to
https://sync-227-us-west-2.sync.services.mozilla.com/...
Very strange, I'll blow-away the profile on this laptop and start from
scratch.
