It's a string that the client includes in the request, purely for metrics purposes, to indicate how the user came to be interacting with the FxA setup process: https://github.com/mozilla/fxa-content-server/blob/master/docs/client-metrics.md#entrypoint For example the desktop client will include ?entrypoint=preferences when you access FxA through the "sync" preferences panel. I'm not sure if we have a canonical list of the current values.
