Hi all

Heads up on synce-hal, particularly for packagers. The result of this
thread some time ago was that I added updetach to the default ppp
options for serial connections, which appeared to be necessary for
openSuse pppd. I have since encountered a problem on Gentoo where this
option specifically fouls the works.

I have removed updetach from default ppp options. If packagers find
particular options are necessary for a distro, I recommend they are
added for that package, either in the serial script (which is now
python) or in the optional config file.
