By default, the synthesis backend used by SyncEvolution will try from SyncML 1.2, if this is not supported by server, it will then try SyncML 1.1. If oracle calendar server does not support SyncML 1.2 but does not responds some proper error codes, SyncEvolution may stick to SyncML 1.2 thus leading to unexpected problems. >Or any other ideas what I should debug? Most probably this is caused by something strange sent by server in the SyncML message. You can set the log level to something larger than 3 and send us the html session log as well as the xml message dump.
