I've been using SyncEvolution compiled from source for quite a while now
(successfully until 0.8); V0.9 now really makes it difficult for me.

It was whole lot more difficult to compile for my gentoo system (and I'm still
trying to get the packages fit for Maemo ;) ...), but what's worse is that it
won't sync my calendar:

[ERROR] calendar: could not read revision identifier for item
pas-id-419B999600000002-birthday-rid: only refresh-from-client synchronization
is supported

That's weird, now because my sources/calendar/config.ini explicitely states:
...
sync = refresh-from-client
...

So if I read the error correctly, Syncevolution wants refresh-from-client but
doesn't realize that this is exactly what I told it to do in the config...
right?

Any other possible reasons that this would happen?
The setup is gentoo, a scheduleworld account, Evolution (with the automatic
calendar created from contacts).

I read about such an error with a 0.8 version, but it didn't happen to me then.

Help appreciated. :)

Thanks,
Oskar
