So at least it is not a regression. Please run a sync with "loglevel=4"
and send me the syncevolution-log.html file. It'll contain your private
contact data, but without that I cannot debug the problem. I promise to
keep it confidential.
You can restore the local state before the duplication with the command
line (--restore option) or the sync-ui ("recovery dialog").
