A random idea: How about supporting saving a new user/role etc in the
console as a "draft". For example, let's say I'm creating a new user,
and it won't save as one of the attribute values is invalid. I can't
find out why it's invalid, so I have to cancel the creation to take a
look at the schema, which involves having to re-enter all of the
details for the new user again.
