Hey Guys,

at general@ Jukka mentioned we are quiet ready to be graduate - it's
IMHO a good time to get started discussing about it, follows below a
graduation resolution that we can use and VOTE for Syncope's
graduation.

About the Chair: I initially put Francesco in the template as part of
the initial resolution proposal - I even proposed him as Cocoon chair,
given the trust I put in him! - but feel free to discuss and elect the
chair according to the Apache way. Maybe someone else, strongly
motivated, would like to step up and nobody would deny that
opportunity!

WDYT?

Hi Simone,
I was actually quite surprised by Jukka's proposal, since I though that "diversity" was Syncope major issue - after all, the vaste majority of commits are still coming from Tirasa guys, this is an easy finding :-)

Anyway, for what I could understand about "the Apache way" so far, code is not the sole way to contribute to a project, and Syncope has a - rather small but committed and slowly raising - community, for the moment more prone to discuss via e-mail, open issues and provide patches than to full commitership.

At the end, I think that we are, as community, probably open enough to welcome discussion and contribution: the quite consistent traffic on our mailing lists should be significant in this respect.

Finally: if the IPMC and you mentors think Syncope is ready for graduation, I can only agree and also be available to serve as PMC chair - provided that there isn't anyone else with better disposition than mine for such role :-)

Regards.
