Hi all, I've noticed several instances lately where people suggest a feed and later approve it. This defeats the purpose of peer review, and decreases the value of the review process and Syndicated status for both the Syndic8 database and you/your feed.
If you're in a "hurry" to have a feed reviewed, request that via this list, after making sure that you've checked for obvious show-stoppers (e.g., at least make sure the feed validates!). If you're not in a hurry but would still like an earlier review than might otherwise happen, you're welcome to borrow my idea of a "donkey list" in your signature. (If you didn't see my comments in an earlier message, to explain why I call it a donkey list, watch the original Shrek on DVD and watch what Donkey does on the disc menu.) If there is a problem with your feed and you want to approve it anyway, it's not going to help your purposes as much as correcting the problem, because potential subscribers may not be able to subscribe (and will thus go find another feed instead of yours) due to the unfixed flaw in the feed. It's in your own best interest, and the best interest of the community, to let the peer review process maximize the value and validity of the Approved feeds.
