Hi all - I'm new here! And very excited.
I'm presently overseeing the distribution of all the feeds emanating from Meetup.com, the largest local community web site that helps people find and start local community groups -- aka "Meetups" in their towns. (See the boilerplate below for more info on Meetup.com). We're currently publishing upwards of 1000 newly published "upcoming Meetups" daily via our master XML feed. We can slice and dice the feed to be either topic or location-centric and/or both. For example: All upcoming Knitting Meetups around the world All upcoming Chihuahua Meetups in Chicago All upcoming Meetups in Canada All upcoming Wi-fi Enthusiast Meetups in Canada All upcoming Sport Bike Meetups within 100 miles of New York City etc, etc. Basically, we can build "upcoming event" feeds for any of our 4,500 topics in any one of 1000s of cities in 55 countries. We see this as great local content for publishers to harness to help build community, locally. I'm interested in any help I can get spreading these feeds around. Looking forward to meeting -- and learning from -- the group.
