Summary: difficult uninstall for Mac OS X binary package

Initial Comment:
Despite the "developers release" tag I decided to take
a quick look. It's a complicated package, and I didn't
want to spend hours building, so I installed the
0.61.04 OS X binary package.

It didn't work on either my Mac OS 10.3.9 or my 10.4.7
systems at all, which is fine, but I was dismayed to
discover how difficult it will be to un-install; it
scatters files all over /usr/local, and with file
creation times from the packaging date, not the install
date.

Compared to Mac OS X and modern Linux distribution
standards, this is quite unfriendly, and liable to
cause future build problems, given how many of the
files are varying versions of libraries which may
already be installed for Darwinports or Fink.

If you're going to offer a .mkpg, I really wish you
would follow the conventional practice and either put
all the libraries in the application bundle or in a
separate folder in /opt or /usr/local. Alternatively,
provide an uninstaller.

Closing since the MacOS packages have been pulled.

The installer infected the whole machine and made it impossible to build
any other command line packages. After tedious and difficult cleaning I
found that the string "darco/project" from Synfig had crept into 224(!)
different files in the system. An efficient virus...

Hi, I installed it but it doesn't work. So how do I uninstall all the
files?

You are right, it is a mess, so I'm taking the package offline for now.
There was an uninstall shell script, but I don't know if it is working
properly.
