>Summary: Synfig Studio Doesn\'t Run - Instead it gives error

Initial Comment:
I installed the unofficial installers in the following order: GTK, Synfig Core,
Synfig studio. When I run Synfig studio I get the following error:

The procedure entry point
_ZN3Gtk13MessageDialog18set_secondary_textERKN4Glib7ustringEb could not be
located in the dynamic link library libgtkmm-2.4-1.dll.

But after this nothing happens.

My libgtkmm-2.4-1.dll is installed in c:\GTK\bin.

I install Gtk, Gtkmm,Synfig core, Synfig Studio in that order.

Both GTK & GTKmm go to c:\GTK as far as I remember. If you can find the
dll file it's referencing, check that you're using the version that Atrus
points to on his web page.

I think he was following these links on http://www.synfig.com/download/

Unofficial packages (SVN)
    * Windows: gtkmm synfig synfigstudio SVN 426 (gtkmm required)

That page makes it look like gtkmm is needed but gtk isn't. I don't know
whether they're bundled together into a single package for Windows, but
could the problem be that he's installed gtkmm and NOT gtk?

I think no. AFIAK, its written in pure C.

Hmm... You wrote "GTK, Synfig Core, Synfig studio" and whats about Gtkmm?
Did you have libgtkmm-2.4-1.dll at your computer? Which path? Could you
send it to me to [EMAIL PROTECTED]

http://atrus.mmaa.ru/synfig/

Btw, if your version GTK+/Gtkmm is correct, its may be you have another
application, which install into system or path directories
libgtkmm-2.4-1.dll, which compiled by different version of gcc or another
C++ compiller. If it so, you have to search your hard drive for another
libgtkmm-2.4-1.dll and remove it ort move to its application directory.

I left as the default path (which leads to Common Files) but that isn't
C:\?

Which path Gtk+/Gtkmm installed. Synfig Studio will not work if Gtk+/Gtkmm
installed into its directory. Please try to install it by default path
(C:\GTK).
