I'm not a lawyer either, but I don't think you have to include a copy of the source, just so long as you 'make the source available'. The Ubuntu Linux distribution ships CDs full of GPLed stuff without any source. The source is available from their website, which seems to be enough. On the other hand, including the source may encourage more people to get involved with development and/or bug fixing.
