Initial Comment: is it not good to make synfig choose the same name when rendering ( by default) as the open .sif file? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- >Comment By: dooglus (dooglus) Date: 2007-09-21 03:12 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=1546005 Originator: NO Fixed in r729. The render path will be updated when you 'save as'. This seems like a good compromise. Note that if a document has multiple canvases, all but the root canvas will have their the canvas name appended in parentheses after the .sif file name. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: dooglus (dooglus) Date: 2007-09-21 01:32 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=1546005 Originator: NO When should the name in the render dialog be set? Suppose you create a document, accept the default name, and save it, then render. The render dialog comes up with /user/you/desktop/Synfig Animation 1.png" as the default. You edit this to "mymovie.avi" and render. Then you do a "Save As" on the document. You save it as "mysif.sif". Then you render again. Should the render dialog remember the "mymovie.avi"? Or should it default to "mysif.png"? Suppose you change it back to mymovie.avi and render. Then work a bit more, without saving and render again. Is the default still "mysif.png"? What I'm asking is how often, and when, do you want the value in the render box to reflect the name of the sif file? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: dooglus (dooglus) Date: 2007-09-21 00:13 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=1546005 Originator: NO Sounds good to me. And easy too. :) So I'll do that next. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=757419&aid=1799250&group_id=144022 ------------------------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by: Microsoft Defy all challenges.
