Summary: Custom length of rotation handles.

Initial Comment:
The length of rotation handles is scaled with the layer so a scaled down 
character has very short handles.
You can drag out the length of the handles but this is hard to do without also 
changing the angle thus making small adjustments very hard o accomplish.

THere can be wo solutions to this problem. Either have a user defined length 
setting or allowing to drag out the length of the handle wihout changing the 
angle value, perhaps but alt+drag of handle.

Having Alt+drag of a tangent duck to increase the length without changing
the angle would be very, very useful to me too. In fact, it would be nice
to have a duck type between Merged and Split called "Smooth" as in Inkscape
where the angle cannot vary but the distance can.
