Hello Bradley,

this is David from Synfig community again.

I want to share some news with you. Recently we have been contacted by a
larger animation studio looking for an open source alternative to flash
(which they rely on heavely in their production). They've been planning
on developing a software themselves but found Synfig and are now very
interested in joining development.
This is still quite early and we are discussing how this development and
funding can be done.

This of course turns up our need for a solid foundation behind Synfig,
so we are now more eager than ever to join your organisation.
I know you have a backlog of applicants to work through but can you give
an estimation on when we can expect some news from you?
We would need some overall solution for Synfig Studio soon. The Software
Freedom Conservancy still is our first choice and the solution we think
would be best for Synfig but we can't afford to wait for a decision when
we have no idea of when it will come.

Regards and Merry Christmas!,
-David Rylander, Synfig Studio community.
